Transportation Tips

It is recommended for participants to take ferry traveling to and from Discovery Bay as it is the fastest, most comfortable and convenient route from the city centre.

On the day of the event, a free shuttle bus will also be arranged between Sunny Bay and DB Plaza for families with valid Egg Hunt Pass. (Only available on 29 & 30 Mar. Seats are limited and first come, first served)

Participants have to arrive in DB Plaza for registration and redemption of the Welcome Goodies Bag 45 minutes prior to the game time.

No refund or change (including change in grouping or event date) shall be entertained once the registration is completed. For safety reasons, the age of a child participant must fall within the age group of the game session that he/she is registered for. In the event that a child participant does not meet the age requirement of the specific game session that he/she is registered for, the organiser reserves the right to refuse his/her entry, and no request for refund or compensation under such circumstances shall be entertained.

As an outdoor event, the Event is subject to inclement weather conditions on the event days. Once the registration process is completed, the participant is deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of the game, and also agrees that the organiser’s decision on the rescheduling or cancellation of the event according to on-site weather conditions shall be final. No request for refund or compensation under such circumstances shall be entertained.

Families from the public are also welcomed to participate the carnival while administration fee will be applied for individual game and workshop.

Urban taxis (coloured red) and Lantau taxis (coloured blue) can reach Discovery Bay North area where DB North Plaza and Auberge Discovery Bay are situated, and drop off and pick up passengers at designated zones.

As entry for private vehicles is restricted, private car drivers can park their cars at the open-air car park next to Sunny Bay MTR station, or the car park at Citygate, Tung Chung, and connect to Discovery Bay by shuttle bus. Private car drivers can park their cars at the Rumsey Street Multi-storey Car Park and connect to Discovery Bay by ferry.

About Registration
All participants are required to read the following terms and conditions before registration, and are considered to have full understanding of and be in agreement with such terms and conditions upon completion of registration. Hong Kong Resort Company Limited (the “Event Organiser”) reserves the right of making the final decisions on the registration methods, arrangement of the event and these terms and conditions
1.
“Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt On the Beach cum Carnival 2024” (the “Event”) will be available for registration from 10am on 21 Feb to 11:59pm on 25 Feb 2024 via the online platform of KKDay, exclusive for Discovery Bay residents. Quota is limited on a first-come first-served basis, while stocks last. The administration fee of each Egg Hunt Pass is HK$250. A valid Discovery Bay residential address shall be provided during online registration. If the information is found to be false or misrepresentation, the Event Organizer reserves the right to cancel the registration and no refund will be made. The Event Organizer reserves the right to request the participants to present the valid DB Resident Octopus Card or address proof before admission for verification.
2.
From 10am on 28 Feb 2024, Egg Hunt Pass will be available for public registration on a first-come-first-served basis. The administration fee of each Egg Hunt Pass is HK$280. The Egg Hunt Pass registered via KKday and the complimentary Egg Hunt Pass issued or given as prizes for any promotional activities of event sponsors cannot be refunded or exchanged for any other prizes.

Only participants with valid Egg Hunt Pass in ePass or ready-printed forms (as printed by participants or given to participants complimentarily by event sponsors) registered or obtained via KKDay, Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong or event sponsors will be admitted to the egg hunt zone and 【Discovery Bay Easter Carnival】 (including “DB Plaza Inflatable Funland” and “DB North Wong-Kam-Po Cycling Funland”). Registration records or other documents purportedly in support will not be accepted for entry. As the case may be, an Egg Hunt Pass in electronic format or ready-printed form shall be void if lost, damaged or tampered with, and no replacement shall be issued.
4.
In each online registration, each person is allowed to register up to two Egg Hunt Passes from the same or different game session, and each child participant is eligible to participate in any one session only during the whole event period. For Groups A & D (age 3-4), an adult (aged 18 or above) is allowed to enter the egg hunt zone and accompany the child participant. For games of other age groups, adults are not allowed to enter the egg hunt zone. The accompany parent or adult do not need to register additional Egg Hunt Pass. On-site registration is not available.
5.
The registrant will receive the Egg Hunt Pass(es) in ePass within 24 hours upon the completion of registration at KKDay. The ePass may be printed out by the registrant and accepted for on-site registration or be stored in an electronic device for production and redeem the welcome goodies bag and game pass at the Admission Zone located in DB Plaza at designated date and time.
6.
No refund or change (including change in grouping or event date) shall be entertained once the registration is completed. For safety reasons, the age of a child participant must fall within the age group of the game session that he/she is registered for. In the event that a child participant does not meet the age requirement of the specific game session that he/she is registered for, the organiser reserves the right to refuse his/her entry, and no request for refund or compensation under such circumstances shall be entertained. In case the child participant is absence, the accompany adults are not allowed to enter the egg hunt zone alone or participate the egg hunt game on behalf.
7.
The organiser and KKDay shall not be responsible for the failure of delivery of the Easter Egg Hunt Pass via email due to any incorrect or inaccurate email address or other information given by the participant during the registration process. No request for refund or compensation under such circumstances shall be entertained.
8.
As an outdoor event, the Event is subject to inclement weather conditions on the event days. Once the registration process is completed, the participant is deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of the game, and also agrees that the organiser’s decision on the rescheduling or cancellation of the event according to on-site weather conditions shall be final. Once the announcement of event cancellation is made due to adverse weather or force majeure factors, no request for refund or compensation under such circumstances shall be entertained. For those participants who have not collected welcome goodies bag on affected event date can redeem the welcome goodie bag upon presenting the valid egg hunt pass in designated period afterwards. (Redemption arrangement will be announced via VisitDiscoveryBay facebook and Instagram page one week after the affected event date)
10.
In case of adverse weather conditions on the event days, the organiser shall have the sole discretion to make the following arrangements:

Case 1 : Red Rainstorm Warning or above / Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above in force

Case 2 : Heavy rain or adverse weather on-site on the event days but no signal in force
Case 3 : Amber Rainstorm Warning, Thunderstorm Warning in force or alert is issued

Once the announcement of rescheduling or cancellation is made, the event will NOT resume even if the signal will be cancelled subsequently anytime during the day.
12.
Should a participant be unable to attend the event due to whatever reasons including the postponement of the event, the administration fee and/or ferry boarding passes/ tickets will not be refunded.
13.
Participants are responsible for evaluating the risk of injury involved in the participation of the games, and accept that Hong Kong Resort Company Limited shall not be liable for any injury suffered in the participation of the event/ games. Participants also accepts that Hong Kong Resort Company Limited shall not be liable for any loss or damage to their personal properties in the participation of the event/ games.
14.
Participants should arrive at the "Admission Zone" located in DB Plaza during the specified on-site registration date/time and redeem one Welcome Goodies Bag and game pass by presenting the valid Egg Hunt Pass of the corresponding date/time. Each Welcome Goodies Bag contains a shovel set, a grouping sticker and a wristband (2 sets for Groups A & D), a “Discovery Bay Easter Carnival” Game Pass, an Event Information Booklet and a Egg Redemption Pass. Participants should use the shovel set provided in the Welcome Goodies Bag for egg hunting. Tools other than the ones provided in the Welcome Goodies Bag are not allowed inside the egg hunt zone.
15.
Each pass is eligible for the participation of one child only (please refer to point 17 for the exception for Groups A & D). Participants should arrive at the egg hunt zone according to the specific date, time and age group as stated on the pass. Latecomers will not be admitted to the egg hunt zone. No request for rescheduling, refund or compensation shall be entertained for latecomers or absentees. 16.
Participants have to wear grouping wristband and stickers (found in the Welcome Goodies Bag) before being admitted to the egg hunt zone. Grouping wristband and stickers shall be void if lost, damaged, or tampered with and no replacement shall be issued.
17.
For Groups A & D (age 3-4), an adult (aged 18 or above) is allowed to enter the egg hunt zone and accompany the child participant. Both adult and child participants must wear his/her own grouping wristband and sticker before being admitted to the egg hunt zone. For games of other age groups, adults are not allowed to enter the egg hunt zone, but may stay in the Spectator Area located around the egg hunt zone.
18.
Each participant must present a valid Egg Redemption Pass together with the hunted egg(s) to redeem prizes at the "Egg Redemption Zone" within 12:30 to 18:00 on the same day; late redemption will not be accepted. The number and allocation of prizes are designated by the organizer. Participants shall not have any objection to the distribution of prizes. The organizer reserves the right of final decision. Under any circumstances, no return and/or refund will be accepted once the gift has been redeemed. The gift is not transferable or redeemable/exchangeable for cash, other goods, services or products. If the prize is damaged, it will only be replaced with the same prize on the spot once. Late replacement will not be accepted. Unless stipulated by law, Discovery Bay Commercial Services Limited shall not be liable in any way to any person for any personal injury, loss or damage (whether directly, indirectly or otherwise) arising from the use of the redeemed gift.
19.
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and their own well-being, and are reminded to bring their own umbrellas, rain coats, sun screen, drinking water and eco bag etc to cater for weather conditions and the activities on the event day. Hong Kong Resort Company Limited shall not be liable for any loss or damage of property or wellness issues suffered/caused in the participation of the event/games.
20.
The Event Organiser reserves its right to terminate the participation of the vandals who fail to follow the instructions of the staff crew and thus influencing the normal operation of the activities without refunds.
21.
The organiser may take photos and/or video during the Event for record purposes and/or promotion of future events and/or services. Participants consent their images will be captured in such photos and/or videos (“Photos and Videos”). Participants hereby permit the organiser to use, edit, modify, reproduce, publish and/or disseminate any such Photos and Videos, by any approved means or manner, for any purposes including for the organiser’s internal records, marketing, publicity, promotional or any other purposes as the organiser considers appropriate, whether within or outside of Hong Kong, and for use on any platform that the organiser thinks fit, including but not limited to the organiser’s website, social media platforms (e.g. Facebook and Instagram) and/or other publications.
22.
In case of different messages among the various communication channels, the announcement on Visit Discovery Bay Facebook page shall be deemed to be final.
23.
In case of any disputes on the terms and conditions and other matters, the Organiser reserves the right of interpretation and final decision on any issues in dispute. These terms and conditions may be changed at any time without notice.
24.
As the organiser of the “Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach cum Carnival 2024” event, Hong Kong Resort Company Limited reserves the right of making the final decisions on the arrangement of the event, any prize(s) to be given, and these terms and conditions. While these terms and conditions are available in both English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy between the two versions.

How can I participate in the Easter Egg Hunt (“the game”)?

Egg Hunt Passes (“the pass”) are available for Discovery Bay residents’ registration from 10am on 21 February 2024, and public registration starts from 10am on 28 February 2024, via the online platform of KKDay. Only participants with valid Egg Hunt Passes will be admitted to the egg hunt game.

Easter Fun Packages bundled with Egg Hunt Passes are also available from Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong. Please contact the hotel’s Reservation Department at tel 2295 8355 for details.

Are the passes registered on a first-come-first-served basis? Does it mean that I can enter the game once I have registered the pass?

Passes are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Participants will receive Egg Hunt Passes in ePass format within 24 hours upon the completion of registration at KKDay, and will need to present the valid ePass for on-site registration at Admission Zone on the day of the event.

How much is the administration fee?

Administration fee for each Egg Hunt Pass is HK$280, a special offer of HK$250 per pass for Discovery Bay Residents during exclusive registration period from 21 February to 25 February 2024.

Is there any age limitation for the egg hunt game?

The egg hunt game on each event day is divided into 4 game sessions with 3 age groups: aged 3-4 (2 sessions), 5-6 and 7-10. Children aged between 3 and 10 are eligible to join the corresponding egg hunt game sessions.

Q5.
My child has not reached the age of 3 on the event date. Can he/she still join the egg hunt game session for the age group of 3-4?

For safety reasons, children aged below 3 are not eligible to participate in the egg hunt game. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry of any participants if there is any doubt.

Q6.
My child will reach the age of 11 on the event date. Can he/she still join the egg hunt game session for the age group of 7-10?

For safety reasons, children aged 11 or above on the event date are not eligible to participate in the egg hunt game. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry of any participants if there is any doubt.

Q7.
Can my child join the groups that are not for his/her age?

Child participants can only participate in the egg hunt game session for the age group that matches his/her age. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry of any participants if there is any doubt.

Q8.
Can my child participate in two sessions of the egg hunt game?

The organiser encourages each child to participate once only so as to allow more children to enjoy the egg hunt game.

Q9.
Can I register Egg Hunt Passes for more than one child in single registration at?

To register up to TWO passes in one single registration, participants must follow the instructions listed on Kkday to complete the registration. If you wish to register more than two passes (whether for the same or different age groups), you have to complete the current registration before starting a new one to register for other passes.

Are there any walk-in passes for the egg hunt game available on-site on the event days?

No walk-in passes for the egg hunt game are available on-site on the event days.

Q11.
I have finished registration and completed the registration process at KKDay. How and when will I get the passes?

Upon the completion of registration process, KKDay will send the pass(es)in ePass format to the participant’s registered email account within 24 hours. Participants must present the e-pass either in printed format or soft copy via mobile devices at the Admission zone located at DB Plaza. We would recommend that participants present printed copies of the ePasses for the sake of easy identification. If I have submitted the wrong information during the registration process, can I make an amendment after registration is made?

Once the registration process is completed, information including the selected event date, age group, and game session cannot be amended. Participants may, however, amend the personal data that they have submitted, and contact KKDay at tel 3008 1724(0900-1800hrs) directly on or before 15 March.

Can parents enter the egg hunt game zone and join their child participants in the Egg Hunt?

Child participants of age group 3–4 can be accompanied by one parent or guardian (aged 18 or above) to enter the egg hunt game zone, with the condition that both child participant and parent/guardian have to wear his/her own grouping wristband and sticker.For other age groups, only child participants are allowed to enter the egg hunt game zone, and parents/guardians have to stay in the designated spectator zone.

We have registered passes for the Egg Hunt but unfortunately, my child is unable to attend the game. Can we refund the passes, change to the other event date, or give the passes to other children?

Please note that once the registration is made, passes are not transferrable or refundable, and the date and time cannot be changed.

Q15.
We have registered Egg Hunt Pass for my child. Does parents need to register the pass too? How many family members are allowed for entry?

Parents do not need to register an extra Egg Hung Pass. During the event period, parents or family members can stay in the designated area at Egg Hunt Game Zone and DB North Wong-Kam-Po Cycling Funland while some game zones at DB Plaza Inflatable Funland can allow one adult to accompany the child participant. For Groups A & D (age 3-4), an adult (aged 18 or above) is allowed to enter the egg hunt zone and accompany the child participant. For games of other age groups, adults are not allowed to enter the egg hunt zone.

When should I take my children for participation to the egg hunt game?

Participant shall arrive at the "Admission Zone" located in DB Plaza 45 minutes prior to the start of the egg hunt game session he/she is registered with, and redeem one Welcome Goodies Bag. Please refer to the on-site registration time specified on the pass.

Q19.
What should I prepare for my children?

Shovel sets have been included in the Welcome Goodies Bag for child participants. Parents or guardians are welcome to prepare sunscreen, insect repellent, rain gear, slippers, goggles and clothes for changing, etc. if necessary.

Q20.
Can my child use his/her own shovel tools during the game?

The organiser has prepared a nice shovel set for each child participant. For safety reasons, tools other than the ones provided in the Welcome Goodies Bag are not allowed inside the game zone.

Q21.
What should I do if I forget to bring the printed copy of my ePass?

ePass must be presented at the “Admission Zone”. Staff will scan the code on the ePass for verification. Participants can present their ePasses on their mobile devices if they are unable to show the printed ones. We would recommend that participants present printed copies of ePasses for the sake of easy identification.

Are there any foot washing facilities in Discovery Bay?

Foot washing facilities are located on the two sides of Tai Pak Beach. Clear directions are posted at the venue to direct participants to these facilities.

Do I need to register pass for 【Discovery Bay Easter Carnival】 Game Zone?

Participants of “Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach cum Carnival 2024” are entitled to a “Discovery Bay Easter Carnival” game pass to participate in designated games and activities of “DB Plaza Inflatable Funland” and “DB North Wong-Kam-Po Cycling Funland” on the same day. (The game pass will be redeemed along with the welcome goodies bag). On-site purchase of “Discovery Bay Easter Carnival” game pass is available.

Are there any age limits for【Discovery Bay Easter Carnival】Game Zone?

“DB Plaza Inflatable Funland” and “DB North Wong-Kam-Po Cycling Funland” Game Zone consists of different games suitable for children aged 2-10. Parents or guardians can refer to the age and height requirement for specific games on-site.

Will the game be rescheduled or cancelled in case of adverse weather?

Each participant must present a valid Egg Redemption Pass together with the hunted egg(s) to redeem prizes at the "Egg Redemption Zone" within 12:30 to 18:00 on the same day; late redemption will not be accepted. The number and allocation of prizes are designated by the organizer. Participants shall not have any objection to the distribution of prizes and the prizes are not exchangeable. The organizer reserves the right of final decision.

May I know if Tai Pak Beach and Beach Playground will be open during the event period?

Tai Pak Beach will be partially open for public access during the event period.
